By the request of former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science & Technology, Myung Oh, who proposed the cultivation of exclusive global-standard techno managers in accordance with rapidly changing domestic/international business environments, the State University of New York at Stony Brook (SUNY-SB) and the Graduate Institute of Management at the Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies (aSSIST-GIM) developed a joint program integrating business management and engineering. First launched in 1999, the Program grew yearly to be the most competitive program in Korea, incorporated with Stony Brook¡¯s outstanding academic resources and aSSIST¡¯s efficient school management.

The aSSIST-SUNY SB Program is open to professionals in all fields. Focused on technology and business management, the program offers engineering majors the chance to build managerial skills and strategic thinking, and for business majors to obtain broad knowledge in techno management through analyzing cutting-edge technology trends. Another advantage of aSSIST-SUNY SB Program is its well-organized curriculum conducted all in English. Through various forms of class methods (project, group study, presentation, testing) held in every course, students are able to optimize their skills and potential.
